Based in Memphis, TN ASAP Staffing Services was established just two years ago when it developed from its sister company that specializes in logistics. Today ASAP Staffing Services has grown to its own entity with four locations in Tennessee, New Jersey and California.

Like any new business striving to make it in today’s competitive business world, ASAP Staffing began on a simple scale. According to Bob Phillips of ASAP Staffing, the records were kept in a 4-drawer filing cabinet and were managed by using Quickbooks. “The first 11 months of business was all done by paper filing; everything was done manually,” said Phillips. With the business expanding, ASAP Staffing needed a system to help them stay organized.
Solution:
With so many choices on the market, Phillips researched seven different software vendors before deciding on eEmpACT. Results:
Since going live with the software at ASAP Staffing, efficiency has increased. The use of UltraMATCH has been very helpful in determining qualified candidates by easily allowing skills to be captured from candidate profiles. “You can drill down easily to find candidates that match the job requirements,” said Phillips.
Order management has also proved beneficial and the employees at ASAP Staffing can see and track who has touched which file last. They can easily tell who ended the last assignment and also see the history of that file. Phillips stated how helpful that is from a coaching and training perspective. “Employees learn the system faster when you can see who entered incorrect information. You can see who did it and resolve the problem quickly.”
Functionality and ease of use allows employees to pull reports and put information in an Excel or Word document. The convenience of being able to grab data and sort it how you want has saved them time. ASAP Staffing has simplified payroll as well; during their busy season they pay 1,100 people a week. The payroll procedure runs smoothly, even with the large volume of checks being processed.
