eConnect 3.0: You won't believe where we're going! 

 

Attendees of the Spring User Group in May witnessed the next generation of eConnect.   

  • Employees are now able to view their check pay history online to a level of detail they have not seen before.  This includes Year-to-Date summaries, earnings, deductions and withholdings. 
  • Likewise, now your Customers can view their invoices online, with the ability to see detailed information on specific invoices including due dates.
  • Entire histories can be seen on Web Timecards, including links to see specific Web Timecards events.

Credential Management

eEmpACT Software has just released an effective, unrivaled system enhancement to issue, monitor, and document employee credentials and licenses!

 Update

The new Credential Management feature allows for easy tracking of employees credentials or licenses, including their expiration dates. The new customizable Credentials System Table is organized in a familiar format identical to the Skill Tree for quick Credential set up. This provides for fast and easy searching for any credential or license for which you may be looking.

Rising Gas Costs: The Commuting Catalyst

 

The rapidly increasing gas prices are on the top of social and political agendas, so there is no surprise when the issue pops up in the workplace. The question echoed everywhere is, "How are we going to get through this gas situation?" Instead of waning, the issue is only becoming more apparent with time as companies scramble to find solutions for their strained employees.gas pump

 

eEmpACT customers are taking this issue seriously as well. Rather than having their temporary workers drive their timecards to their closest branch, eEmpACT customers are installing eConnect to enable the submission and client approval of all timecards over the Internet. 

  

More eEmpACT customers are deploying their eEmpACT systems over the Internet using either Microsoft Terminal Server or Citrix.  This enables staffing firms with multiple branches or remote workers to have access to their entire desktop from any location with a PC or laptop.  This capability gives our clients another option when working with their employees, who may need to work from home. 

 

Efforts taken by companies in response to the change include compressed work schedules, four-day weeks, telecommuting, gas cards and car-pooling. These small changes are building on the current revolution in the workplace that is placing the quality of work done, not the amount of hours worked, on the higher pedestal. Sometimes, however, the small changes are not enough and many employees prefer working from home.

EE0-1 Report Deadline Approaches

The Employer Information Report EE0-1, commonly known as the EE0-1 report, is required to be filed with the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission's EE0-1 Joint Reporting Committee annually. The filing deadline for the 2008 EE0-1 report is Sept. 30. Notification letters have been mailed to employers beginning in July.

User GroupThe three-day California Staffing Professionals staffing and recruiting conference wrapped up in the end of May at the San Diego Hilton in San Diego, CA. With approximately 350 attendees, the opportunities to speak with existing and prospective customers were abundant.

 

Sean Gogan, West Coast Sales Manager, even recalls a point at the conference where a prospect exclaimed, "Is EVERYONE at this convention an eEmpACT user?"

The American Staffing Association Staffing World 2008 Convention and Expo is coming up this October. Hotels are filling up already, so make sure you have your reservations before its too late.

2008 Spring User Group

 

The 3rd Annual eEmpACT Spring User Group this past May was another success event for both attendees and for eEmpACT.

 

 Highlights included:

  • Standout, Stay Top of Mind, Sell More presentation by David Searns of Haley Marketing

  • The unveiling of eConnect 3.0
  • Small group discussions, great activities, good food, and another successful scavenger hunt

Festivities included the annual Mall of America scavenger hunt, winding up in a new location for a good time and treats.  The super-star winners of the Mall of America Scavenger Hunt were:

 

Mike Carricato of StaffMasters, Jo Zillner of Personnel Resources Inc., and not pictured is David Searns of Haley Marketing Group. As you can see, a couple of stars managed to grab some of the spotlight as well.

Employee of the Month 

 

May - Andrew Haas

aimeeAndrew received employee of the month for his long term consistent quality of work. He is the technical point person for many of eEmpACT's largest accounts.  He consistently works evenings and weekends without complaint (or even letting us know he's doing it) in order to accommodate customers work schedules so that they don't experience down time during the work day while he is doing their upgrades.

 

  June - Joe Swanson 

joeJoe was nominated for employee of the month for his dependability, great customer service, and ability to learn new technology on his own. His voice can always be heard through the office calmly guiding customers through the processes to fix any problems that may arise, no matter how tricky those problems may be.

 

  July - Harold Sams

aimeeHarold received employee of the month due to his successful transition over the past year from Implementation Consultant to Support person and then back to Implementation consultant.  Because of the vast differences between these two jobs, it is like moving back and forth between two different planets.  Additionally he has voluntarily taken on the role of Atlanta IT person for when things need to get done in Atlanta that require someone onsite...and he is the only male in the Atlanta office so he puts up with a lot of stuff!

"Because I love life.  I really enjoy doing things like going to Valley Fair with my boys and their family.  Line dancing to Shane Wyatt music and just having a good time with family and friends."

"Top two would be: view from the top of Raspberry Island off of Kodiak, AK - picturesque mountains surrounded by ocean straits and trees with various wildlife living in them OR from a helicopter flying over Kauai, Hawaii taking in the Five Sisters Waterfall or Kokee State Park."
